Will Angelina Jolie direct “Fifty Shades of Grey”? Deadline reports those are the rumors buzzing about. Universal, which won a seven-figure auction for the rights to the bondage books,  says no discussions have taken place but allows that if she were interested so would they be.

The Hollywood Reporter says it’s heard there may have been an informal conversation but that nothing was real.

Meanwhile, casting rumors have circulated with everyone from Amanda Seyfried to Kristen Stewart being floated as the lead.

Author EL James and her agent will be in town shortly to set a producer first, followed by a writer and filmmaker.
